Enjoy culinary treasures from the sea at some of the best restaurants on Florida's West Coast.

When I moved to Florida, a savvy developer told me, "Don't buy or build too far from the water." That advice has obviously been followed by a small armada of West Coast restaurateurs.

One of the most successful, Ed Chiles, puts it a different way: "I have a theory that food tastes better at the beach." The Governor's son should know. He owns, along with others, three waterfront restaurants, each of them outstanding and among my favorites in the country.
