Oct. 30--Federal and state wildlife officials want a third of the shoreline around Lake Murray kept natural. It's the first time they have advocated a specific cap on development.
The proposal, released Wednesday, identifies 78 scattered tracts in addition to those already set aside for preservation, many of which are on the lake's western half.
