CBS orders more episodes of ''Diagnosis Murder''.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 1996-- Viacom Productions has received an order for three more episodes of Dick Van Dyke's ``Diagnosis Murder,'' giving the popular series a total of 16 hours for the current season.

Since rejoining the CBS schedule on Dec. 8, 1995, ``Diagnosis Murder''

has been the network's highest rated show among households on Friday night. It improves on prior programs in the time slot by 30 percent in ratings and 25 percent in share.

The series, which stars Dick Van Dyke, Barry Van Dyke, Victoria Rowell, Charlie Schlatter and Michael Tucci, has been steadily growing in ratings as more audiences tune to CBS Friday nights at 9 p.m.

``Diagnosis Murder'' is a production of the Fred Silverman Co., and Dean Hargrove Productions in association with Viacom Productions.

Hargrove, Silverman, Dick Van Dyke and Tom Chehak are executive producers. Barry Steinberg is the producer.
