Press makers pulling out all stops for NPE.(Brief Article)

All-electric injection molding presses will continue to march -- very quietly, of course -- onto the plastics industry during NPE 2000.

Ube Machinery Inc. will show a massive all-electric, the largest ever built, an Ultima-brand machine with a clamping force of 1,550 tons. Milacron Inc. will run a 935-ton all-electric Powerline.

AmeriPlas Machinery Corp. (Booth E10557): Two new injection presses: an H30 30-ton horizontal and a V35 35-ton vertical press. A V15 15-ton vertical machine. All three presses sport new touch-screen Mitsubishi controllers.
