UK industrial power prices fall.

The price of UK electricity for industrial customers has fallen below that of France, to fifth cheapest in the EU, the Electricity Association's quarterly survey has revealed. Germany, Italy, Spain and now France are among ten EU member countries whose industrial electricity is more expensive than that supplied in the UK.

The Association's recent figures reflect the trend of falling electricity prices in the UK. At present 50,000 UK customers in the 100kW-1MW electricity market benefit from prices which are as much as 10% cheaper in cash terms than in January 1994. This
