North Carolina Energy Bill Sparks Concerns.

Nov. 18--The possible passage of an energy bill by Congress may charge up a state commission to meet soon and analyze the status of North Carolina's power industry.

The Study Commission on the Future of Electric Service in North Carolina should meet in the near future to consider the impact of the comprehensive energy bill if Congress passes the legislation, said state Sen. David Hoyle, D-Gaston and commission co-chairman.
