Combined-cycled power plant efficiency reported - According to reports from Turkey, Siemens has set a new world record for commercial thermal power plant efficiency: the unfired combined-cycle power plant at Ambarli, near Istanbul, has achieved an efficiency of 52.5% - more than 1 percentage point better than specified, This was result obtained in acceptance trials performed on the first of the three |gas & steam' block
