A Psychological Impact Report for the Environmental Movement.

The dialogue approach of David Bohm combined with ecopsychological insight offers an alternative for the environmental movement, one that could be more effective than the confrontational approach. Bohm suggests that flawed thought processes based on unconscious assumptions could be the root causes of environmental problems and other destructive behaviors and beliefs. Bohm's concept of dialogue should be extended to become an ecological biologue with other living entities and natural processes, as has long been practiced by indigenous cultures.

It is clear that if we are to live in
