Coming To A Home Near You - Personal Wind Turbines

For just a little under $14,000, you can sit on your front porch and watch your own wind turbine power your home.  Aeris Alternative Energy is selling the generators all around Augusta.  The Skystream 3.7 can generate energy with winds at 8 mph, and can produce between 400-700 kilowatts of energy per month, so users can expect their electric bills to drop by up to 90%.  The units hook up to the utility grid, and will automatically adjust to the wind’s velocity and switch back and forth between electric and wind as necessary.  Last year the company sold 42 units, this year they’re well on their way to 60.
