Canola crush: Group planning Minnesota oil, biodiesel plant.

Feb. 27--FARGO -- A group called Northstar Bioenergy L.L.C. is planning a $135 million canola oil and biofuels project for Hallock, Minn.

The announcement was made during a news conference in conjunction with the 2007 International Crop Expo in Grand Forks, N.D. The group says the project will have a "crushing" impact on the northern valley economy "creating new opportunity for northern growers plus 44 new jobs" with a payroll of $2.3 million.
