Apr. 7--OPEC SAYS NO EXTRA OIL THIS YEAR: Opec secretary general Ali Rodriguez said late last week that Opec was not planning to release any more oil on to world markets this year, despite the recent hike in oil prices. He said that oil price rises were due to speculation and should cool this week after President Bush's condemnation of the Israeli invasion of Palestine.

RUSSIA WILL STICK TO OUTPUT TARGETS: Russian energy minister Igor Yusufov said that Russia will stick to its 150,000 bpd output reduction through until the end of June
