Apr. 7--OPEC SAYS NO EXTRA OIL THIS YEAR: Opec secretary general Ali Rodriguez said late last week that Opec was not planning to release any more oil on to world markets this year, despite the recent hike in oil prices. He said that oil price rises were due to speculation and should cool this week after President Bush's condemnation of the Israeli invasion of Palestine.
