PROJECT OVERVIEW:

A Canadian/Russian joint venture recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enable the completion of a project feasibility study regarding the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project that aims at shipping LNG from Russia to North American markets by the year 2009. The partners in the planned undertaking include the local OAO GAZPROM and PETRO-CANADA

According to Ron Brenneman, PETRO-CANADA President & CEO, construction plans under consideration call for building an LNG complex with an installed production capacity
