Atlanta Gas Light Company today announced that Robert Foss has been named vice president - gas operations.
Foss will direct the company's activities related to its natural gas distribution

"Robert's strong background in supply strategies and overall experience in the industry make him key to those efforts."
Foss has more than 15 years of experience in gas operations and gas supply, most recently serving as vice president of supply for Shell Energy. There, he managed the development and execution of supply strategies for power and natural gas and had responsibilities for day-to-day operations such as risk management, pricing and weather forecasting, nominations/confirmations and reconciliation. His Shell experience includes wholesale and retail marketing and operations. During his career, Foss has served as an energy consultant for GPU International. He also previously worked as manager for gas transportation services at Mojave Pipeline Operating Company and as corporate auditor for Burlington Resources Inc.
Foss received his bachelor of business administration in banking and finance from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. His community involvement activities include participation on Galvenston's beach cleanup program. Foss, his wife, Bridgit, and four children will be relocating to Atlanta from Houston, Texas.
