Planning Ahead Has Placed Them Ahead

The management team at Green Express Couriers in Atlanta saw the writing on the wall two years ago.  They knew oil was going to keep rising, so they invested in their hybrids then. Now today, while every other courier is raising prices, these guys are dropping theirs.  The company’s fuel usage is actually down 50%, so they’re passing the savings along to their consumers.  They’re another example of a company that is approaching their business with an encompassing green vision.  They use their GPS for more efficient driver routing, they of course e-bill, and they’ve moved their office staff to home offices to do-away with commuting,  everyone is networked through their laptops.  Not surprisingly, the Clean Air Campaign of Georgia named Green Express “Innovative Company of the Year” in 2007.
