79 Year Old Farmer Shows Us How It's Done

Ralph Dull, a 79-year-old Ohio farmer has become an inspiration in environmentally friendly farming.  Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and Ohio Agriculture Director Robert Boggs have al been to Mr. Dull’s farm to see what he has accomplished.  He has six windmills that are producing 15 percent of his electricity, he uses his rejected corn as a fuel, his office is geothermal heated; and he’s working on using hydrogen as gas in his forklifts and as heat in his pig barn.  The $100,000 Dull spent on a corn-drying furnace as already saved him $150,000. 

Governor Strickland was quoted as saying; “He is demonstrating through his farming practices that you can have a profitable farming operation while caring for the Earth".
