Mentor Graphics Corp. today announced design-for-test (DFT) support for the AMD Opteron processor and AMD64 architecture.
Mentor will offer AMD64 versions of its embedded deterministic test (EDT) tool, TestKompress, and its automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) tool suite, which includes
The AMD 64-bit architecture has been gaining ground, and on Tuesday AMD added Opteron processor models 846 and 146 to its lineup.
"Our DFT products have been available on Linux for some time and we planned our 64-bit rollout to coincide with the growing industry need," said Robert Hum, VP and GM of Mentor's DVT division, in a statement. "Through our ongoing partnership with AMD, supporting the AMD64 architecture was a natural extension for our technology."
Support for the architecture is included in the current beta releases of the FastScan, TestKompress, DFTAdvisor and FlexTest tools, and will be available in late 2003 to current customers at no extra charge. All other Mentor DFT tools will be available in 32-bit versions on the AMD64 architecture.
