Sandisk promotes USBTV for PC-to-TV transfer.(TECHNOLOGY)

Sandisk is developing a flash-based memory media player that allows consumers to transfer digital content (music, videos) from the PC to the TV. Coinciding with the product launch, the flash memory device manufacturer has created the USBTV forum to promote the concept. The USBTV product comprises a flash unit, an infra-red (IR) remote control and a adapter cradle including an IR receiver.

The flash unit plugs into the USB port of the PC and acts as a storage device to which users can quickly drag and drop digital media. The flash unit can then be plugged into an adapter
