Studios support portable video players.(General)(Brief Article)

A growing trend is emerging for studios to release product on portable video players aimed at children. Warner Home Video will release around 50 titles on the Mini-DVD format, designed for playback in Mini-DVD players, between now and March 2005. The slate includes Scooby Doo II: Monsters Unleashed and A Cinderella Story. Mini-DVDs use the same technology as standard DVDs but are much smaller in size (three-inch rather than five-inch) and memory capacity. Although they can be played in regular DVD players, the first dedicated Mini-DVD player is the CyberHome Entertainment Portable
