PC manufacturer Hewlett-Packard has designed a device that connects televisions and stereos to the Internet. H-P Digital Entertainment Centre will be able to download, store and play music from the Web and offer limited streaming of music videos on TV sets. It can use broadband pipes to connect to the Internet and can store 9,000 songs. Price tag for the unit--similar size and shape to other stereo components--is due to be under $ 1,000.
