Toshiba-Matsushita Venture to Boost Mobile Phone Display Monitor Output.

Jun. 9--TOKYO--Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology Co., a joint venture of Toshiba Corp. and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., said Monday it will make an additional capital outlay of 8 billion yen to bolster output of thin film transistor (TFT) display monitors for use in mobile phones.

The outlay will be implemented during the current April-September period to renovate production lines for the TFT monitor, which is capable of projecting high-resolution images, at such locations as
