NSU Law students operate their computers in a wireless environment. Numerous access points installed in the ceilings of the Law Center and Library act as transceivers wired to the network. Student computers have network interface cards. The access points allow wireless clients to roam through the Law Center without losing the network connection.

To assure that NSU Law students are up to speed on the latest software technology, all new students are required to complete an intensive workshop that covers all the basics necessary to master Corel Amicus Attorney and Hot Docs. These programs feature state-of-the-art technology utilized in contemporary law office operations and contain a library of technical legal forms.

Since the fall of 1997, laptops have been the norm at NSU Law, one of eight law schools that require students to have laptops. All entering students are required to utilize a laptop computer for their course work and are given the option of purchasing a new DELL laptop through the school or bringing their own configured to meet the Law Center's technology requirements.
