The storage systems provider Overland Data Inc has partnered with Chaparral Network Storage Inc to launch what it claims to be the industry's first native 2Gb Fibre Channel SAN tape library.

The new system consists of Overland's LibraryXpress Neo Series extendable tape libraries, integrated with the 2Gb Fibre Channel Option developed by Chaparral.
