QMS Inc. (NYSE:AQM) today announced the QMS 2060 PM Print System, a fully-featured, 20 ppm print system that utilizes polyester plate-making material to deliver high-quality print masters directly from the print system. This newest member of the QMS 2060 Print System family includes support for plate sizes up to 13" x 19 7/8" and page sizes up to 13" x 26," and is ideal for quick printers and in-house print shops where fast turn-around time is a necessity. Now customers can proof their designs, make corrections, and produce a press-ready master -- all from the same print system.
"The QMS 2060 PM is the perfect addition to a print system family already recognized within the graphic arts and printing industry," said Ann Priede, QMS product line manager. "Now printing and pre-press professionals have a print solution they can use from start to finish. From proofing to the press, the QMS 2060 PM is the quickest, easiest, and least expensive way to get their images to print. And for general office use, there's not a more versatile print system available on the market."
A Complete, Cost-Effective Print Solution
The QMS 2060 PM Print System is a cost-effective alternative to traditional printing methods, allowing the print shop to bypass the imagesetter and film processor completely. This technique makes it possible for companies to print more jobs per day and eliminates costly film and hazardous chemicals as well as labor-intensive masking and stripping. Now, going to press with a laser-printed polyester plate takes only three steps -- from computer, to laser printer, to press. Press-ready plates are available quickly, increasing turn-around time and profitability.
