SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1999--Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (Nasdaq: EFII), the pioneer and leading supplier of technologies for high-quality digital color and black and white printing over computer networks, today announced it has entered into a worldwide strategic technology alliance with OfficeMax(R), Inc. (NYSE: OMX), the largest office products superstore operator in the United States with more than 800 superstores in over 350 markets in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
Under the terms of the agreement, OfficeMax will continue its efforts to standardize on EFI's Fiery(R) Color Servers for its worldwide CopyMax operations. CopyMax is a full service copy and digital printing center located within each OfficeMax superstore. EFI will work with CopyMax to provide technology solutions designed specifically for its stores. Additionally, EFI will provide CopyMax with marketing, training and sales support to help each store provide the highest quality digital output services.
