JONESBORO, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 21, 2002
SynTel, LLC, the industry leader for mail automation software, today announced the availability of AutoMail(TM) 2002 Tax Notice Kit.
The kit is specifically programmed for financial institutions to help
The 2002 Tax Notice Kit prepares 1099-INT, 1098, 5498 and other tax forms for financial institutions with single button import and processing capabilities. These prepared notices are then printed using existing laser printers on standard paper and SynTel's United States Postal Service (USPS) approved envelopes for manifest or print certification document mailing.
"SynTel is helping us customize AutoMail, to allow us to mail annual tax notices well before deadlines and improve our image among our customers," said Linda Marek, vice president of First National Bank & Trust in Columbia, Missouri. "Not only are we able to produce tax notices more quickly and accurately, but we are saving money by improving the entire form process; preparing, printing and mailing."
The typical costs for processing tax notices range from $0.60 to $0.75 per item. The AutoMail 2002 Tax Notice Kit is an end-to-end solution that takes the information from the host computer, generates the appropriate tax form, inserts the required information then prints each form in postal presort order. Notices qualify for the lowest allowable postage rate. The total cost for each notice, including first class postage, is approximately $0.35.
"Financial institutions, as a group, represent the largest producer of bulk mail in the United States," said Harry Herget, co-founder and director of marketing at SynTel, LLC. "For these organizations, tax notice bulk mailings present a significant expense. The 2002 Tax Notice Kit allows financial institutions to significantly reduce the hassles of preparing tax forms in one quick, automated motion."
