Fujitsu launches flash memory devices with Advanced Micro Devices.(Brief Article)

Fujitsu Ltd has commercialized the production and marketing of two flash memory devices, developed jointly with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

The 64-Mbit flash memory products offer dual-operation functionality, allowing for simultaneous performance of read/write/ erase functions and FlexBank Architecture, which allows flexible allocation of data or programs to banks.

Demand is increasing for dual operation flash memory products for cellular telephones and mobile information terminals, where high-speed processing and more frequent rewriting are required.
