Silicon Labs Collaborates on China Center

Analog and mixed signal IC maker Silicon Laboratories Inc. and fast growing China-based handset maker TCL Mobile Communication Co. will build a joint development laboratory for radio frequency (RF) design for wireless handsets.
The lab will be located at TCL's facility in Huizhou, China and staffed with Silicon Labs engineers, allowing teams from the two companies to work together on the development of TCL's next generation handsets.
Silicon Labs has expanded its presence in Asia with a direct presence in China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
"We are pleased to be expanding our relationship with TCL through this joint development lab, another clear indicator of our dedication to our customers in this region," said Ed Healy, vice president of Silicon Laboratories, in a statement
