Enlisting services from etc, Vodafone Multimedia selected SeeBeyond to link BroadVision and Vodafone Multimedia's Java-based test message service with key systems and applications including LDAP services, IVR systems and FTP sources.
Organizations such as FT.com rely on Vodafone Multimedia to send out scheduled text message news updates to its customers and Manchester United sends text messages to its customers' mobile phones through the "Match Tracker" service. The etc and SeeBeyond solution will provide a scalable, high performance infrastructure that has the potential to allow Vodafone Multimedia to provide true multi-channel access and take content from providers such as Manchester United, and deliver it to subscribers via the web, text messaging, email and voicemail.
