Elpida Cooperates With SMIC On DRAM Manufacturing

CHINA, Jan 02, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Elpida Memory (EM), a Japanese chipmaker, will provide Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), a Chinese semiconductor manufacturer, with the advanced chips manufacturing technology and the outsourcing business of DRAM manufacturing. The contract was signed by the two companies and will be effective for five years.
