Agilent wants to remain technology innovator despite tough conditions, BUSINESS TIMES

AGILENT Technologies Inc wants to remain a technology innovator,
despite tough market conditions, its chief operating officer William P.
Sullivan said.
He said this will ensure that Agilent continues to have the world's
best products and services for its customers.
Sullivan said Agilent plans to continue its research and development
(R and D) investments in life sciences, test technology, operating systems,
storage and enterprise networks.
Agilent's R and D spending stands between US$1 billion
