LIVERMORE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 2000
FormFactor, Inc., the world's leading provider of complete wafer-level semiconductor test and packaging solutions, has added Jeff Lewis to its executive team as senior vice president of marketing. Lewis brings strong marketing and intellectual property licensing expertise to the Livermore Company as it expands its efforts to aggressively license its proprietary Microspring(TM) testing and packaging technology to chipmakers around the world.
Igor Khandros, CEO of FormFactor, said, "We are moving quickly into the second phase of our business growth that emphasizes licensing of our revolutionary Microspring technology to the world's leading chipmakers for major cost improvements in their testing and packaging back end operations. Having Jeff Lewis on board to direct this licensing effort and oversee our marketing should accelerate our ability to bring the advantages of our technology to IC manufacturers."
From 1996 until he joined FormFactor in June 2000, Lewis was vice president of Marketing and Business Development for Artisan Components, a supplier of semiconductor intellectual property. He created Artisan's foundry library program and built the program to include over 400 customers, including 17 of the world's top 20 semiconductor companies. During this time he also built Artisan's EDA, Design Service, and IP partnerships from zero to over 90 companies. His marketing leadership was instrumental in the company's successful IPO in early 1998.
Prior to his role at Artisan, he was vice president of marketing at Compass Design Automation, and earlier had key executive jobs at Redwood Design Automation, Synopsys, Hewlett-Packard and VLSI Technology. He received his BS degree in EECS, AB in Economics, and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
FormFactor is the world's leading supplier of wafer-level packaging processes and of wafer-level test consumables to the semiconductor industry. With over 125 key technology patents issued or pending, the company was recently named by Red Herring magazine as "One of the 100 Most Important Companies in the World."
