iVivity Strengthens Executive Roster in Preparation for iDiSX Launch; Jim O'Connor Named SVP of...

iVivity, a leading technology provider for storage networking systems, today announced the creation of two new management positions that will be instrumental in the launch of its iDiSX(TM) technology later

this year. Jim O'Connor was appointed to the new role of SVP of Engineering and Ashu Joshi to VP of Technology.

"Jim and Ashu play pivotal roles in the development of iDiSX, our platform technology for next-generation storage," said David Coombs, president and CEO of iVivity. O'Connor, a recognized industry expert in ASICs and IC designs, joined iVivity as a VP in 2003, bringing 24 years of experience in executive engineering positions at Vitesse Semiconductor Corp., Nortel Semiconductor and Broadband Technologies. As SVP of Engineering, O'Connor establishes the overall objectives and initiatives of the iVivity Engineering Department. He oversees the creation and enhancement of products and ensures all engineering projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with iVivity's established policies and objectives.

Ashu Joshi joined iVivity in 2000 as Director of Product Development and the company's third employee. Joshi was previously manager and architect of new technology development for American Megatrends, Inc. Drawing upon more than 12 years of technology experience, Joshi oversees the overall architecture of the iDiSX technology with focus on network acceleration design, future standards/protocols and system firmware.
