Konica Business Technologies U.S.A. Inc. has introduced the flagship of its color product line-the Konica ColorFORCE 8050 imaging system. Designed for cost-effective color and black and white on demand printing for high volume workgroups and other users, the 50 page per minute color multifunction

product (MFP) bridges the gap between 24 ppm digital copier/printers and color production printers. Konica Business Technologies U.S.A. is located in Windsor, Conn.

The ColorFORCE 8050 provides 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) resolution and 256 gradations per color per pixel, "easy" color calibration, selectable glossy mode, and Konica's new Simitri color polymerized toner. Through this patented toner technology, the unit offers sharper text, better halftone clarity, higher image stability over long print runs and quality electro-photographic prints.

The ColorFORCE 8050 features print and copy speeds of 50 ppm color and black and white, with a rated monthly page volume of 150,000 pages.

It has a user-friendly control panel, easy-access paper transport and Advanced Continuous Toner technology, which allows for toner to be added while the engine is running.
