The Karuna Center for Peacebuilding in Massachusetts facilitates workshops which encourage participants to see nonviolence as a way of life, an expression coming from a deep reverence for all beings. In the movement for nonviolence, it is believed that it is important to guard and monitor social configurations with as much vigilance as is used to bring peace within the home, that is within the self. Physical violence is no more destructive than oppressive laws, institutional racism and economic injustice.
