Why You Don't Want To Send Christmas Cards To Your Customers

Sunday, August 24 2008

Here in Texas both the humidity and the temperatures are in the 90’s. The kids go back to school next week and the smell of college football is in the year.

Which means we need to think about…..

Thanksgiving.

What? You say, that’s not until late November.

Exactly.

Does your business send out Christmas cards? If so, think about this. When you start to receive them, the first few are opened and oohed and aaaaahed over. But then as more come in, someone just opens them and tosses them on to the pile or tapes them up to a wall for decorative purposes. The Law of Diminishing Returns kicks in.

You can beat that law by sending out your cards at Thanksgiving. You’ll be among the first, and the simple fact that your customers are receiving their cards weeks earlier for a different holiday will make you stand out from your competition.

Now’s the time to order.

Go get ‘em.

Glenn,
This is a wonderful idea - anything to stand out in the sea of "noise" is valuable.
