BRANCH EVENT

Developing your skills and competencies to match the needs of your current role - and enhance your future career prospects - is the theme of the next North Yorkshire/South Durham branch event.

The key speaker will be Angus Watson,

human resources development specialist with consultancy firm McCourts. He will present an interactive debate covering many aspects of development from learning styles to leadership skills.

Helen Pearman, UK membership officer at CIPS, will explain the different routes to CIPS membership and the wide range of benefits for members. Delegates will also find out how the new CIPS CPD online scheme can help them reach their personal and professional development goals.

Bill Chaplain, branch chair, who works with training firm Commercial Skills as an NVQ assessor and CIPS diploma lecturer, will explain the structure of the CIPS diploma, and NVQ Levels 3 to 5 in supply chain skills.

"Advancing your career through personal development" will take place on 30 April, opening at 4.30pm with light refreshments before a 5pm start, closing around 8.30pm.
