In the last few years, the World Wide Web (WWW or Web) has become widely accepted as an important medium for education and corporate training. About 50,000 university-level courses are now available through distance learning, many of them on the Web (Dunn, 2000). InterEd (2001) lists 13 college programs in which, as of July, 2001, "all graduation requirements can be met.. .online," and, "the school has graduated at least some students solely through their online program." This number is expected to grow rapidly as more and more people complete web-based college degrees.
