This year, toys were distributed to 412 "angels" or underprivileged children within the Seminole County School District, according to Regina Klaers, director of Community Involvement for Seminole County Public Schools. The Angel Tree program is a cooperative community effort of its social workers and Community Involvement Department.
Founded in 1949, the company operates five divisions in the Southeast including Orlando, Fla., Charlotte, N.C., Raleigh, N.C., Wilmington, N.C., and Newport News, Va.
