2001 Industrial laser shipments down 30% from 2000. (Industry News).

At $501.8 million for 2001, shipments of industrial laser equipment and systems for North America and U.S. exports were down 30% from year earlier levels, according to the Laser Systems Product Group (LSPG) of AMT--The Association For Manufacturing Technology.

Industrial laser equipment and system shipments within North America by 49 companies reporting to the 2001 LSPG statistical report totaled $356 million, while exports amounted to $145.8 million
