According to data provided by relevant departments, the annual production capacity of adipic acid is 60 000 - 700 000 tons in China. 90% of the consumption is used in production of nylon 66 fibre and a small amount is also used in production of nylon 66 resin, dioctyl adipate, polyurethane artificial leather, adiponitrile and hexamethylene diamine.
