Jul. 15--The Twin Cities-area new-home market posted a decent showing for the first half of 2003, with rock-bottom mortgage rates steadying an otherwise wobbly economy.
Permits for new homes in the Twin Cities stood at 1,101 in June, a 9 percent increase over the same month last year, according to data released Monday by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.
Through 2003's first six months, 5,261 new home permits had been filed in the Twin Cities, up
