Office recovery favors the suburban market.(Industry Forecast '97)

The demand for office spaces is increasing due to a significant growth in office employment. More and more large businesses are relocating from downtowns to the suburbs in comparison with smaller companies which prefer downtowns. This trend in office relocation has boosted the suburban office development. Chicago's Real Estate Research Corp fears that increasing demand for suburban offices in 1997 might generate overbuilding.

You could say that the tide of recovery is steadily raising all boats in the office market. But the very large boats - i.e., downtown high-rises run deeply
