Gross Domestic Product Increases 1.7 Percent During First Six MonthsOf 1998.

During the period January -- June 1998 the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by an annual rate of 1 .7 percent. If the population increase is take into account for the same period the per capital GDP declined by 0.5 percent. During the last six months of 1997 the per capital GDP also declined by 0.5 percent.
