Litton Wins Information Security Contract with U.S.Department of Transportation.
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 1998--TASC Inc., a subsidiary of Litton (NYSE:LIT), is among five winning contractor teams selected for a five-year, $45 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to help protect the nation's transportation infrastructure from physical or cyber attack and furnish technical assistance, engineering and design support for all related security systems.
The potential contract revenues for Litton could be worth up to $20 million over five years.
The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center awarded the contract to Litton and its team of partners to address the evolving security needs of critical transportation and telecommunications infrastructures.
Located in Cambridge, Mass., the Volpe Center is a U.S. Department of Transportation technical center providing research, analysis and systems engineering services for the transportation and logistics needs of both civil and military government agencies.
