Parker Aerospace selected to supply hydraulic systemfor Bombardier's Regional Jet Series 700.

KALAMAZOO, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 1997--Parker Aerospace Group's Abex NWL Division has been awarded a contract to supply the entire hydraulic system for the RJ-700, Bombardier's newest aircraft under development.

Abex general manager. "We remain the only non-airframe company to design, develop, certify and deliver aircraft hydraulic systems."

The RJ-700 hydraulic system includes engine-driven pumps, AC motor pumps, filter manifolds, reservoirs, accumulators, a heat exchanger with thermal bypass valves, firewall shutoff valves, and various transducers, switches, quick disconnects, check valves, priority valves and shock mounts.

Sales for the 70-passenger regional jet are expected to be approximately 35 aircraft per year over the next 10 years.

First flight of the RJ-700 is scheduled for 1999 with certification in the spring of 2000.
