Dec. 23--Bomb-sniffing dogs, vehicle checkpoints and extra law enforcement officers arrived at South Florida airports this week in response to an increase in the nation's terror-attack warning.
The federal government raised the security level on Sunday after federal officials received what they said were intercepted terrorist communications and other intelligence that mentioned New York, Washington and unspecified cities on the West Coast.
