Businesses Look to Cash In on Government's Virtual Border Patrol Project.

Aug. 24--WASHINGTON--Across the country, major corporations and small businesses are designing and perfecting new products in hopes of winning a role in one of the Department of Homeland Security's biggest projects.

The mission: to tighten the nation's porous borders by installing a computerized "entry/exit" system to collect fingerprints and photographs and run background checks on tens of millions of foreign visitors each year.
