Courthouse eases children's trials. (Los Angeles County, California, Children's Court)

Los Angeles County, CA's new Children's Court building is the first US courthouse dedicated exclusively to child-abuse cases. The building, which features 25 small courtrooms and an outdoor playground, was designed to accommodate a child's perspective. Design consultant Moore Iacofano Goltsman programmed the structure's children's spaces to be friendly and sensitive but dignified.
