Arthur Kurzweil, in his anthology of the "best" Jewish writing in the year 2002, shows that his tastes are eclectic in terms of subject matter, writing skills, and philosophical orientation. Others, no doubt, will dispute his choices and especially his rather presumptuous affixing of the superlative "best" to the articles, poems, stories, and other genres represented here.
