EPIC TESTIFIES ON NEW ONLINE PRIVACY BILLS.(Government Activity)

On September 6, Electronic Privacy Information Center [EPIC] director Marc Rotenberg testified before the House Judiciary Committee on three bills now pending in Congress: the "Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 2000", the "Digital Privacy Act of 2000", and the "Notice of Electronic Monitoring Act of 2000". The first two bills would strengthen the federal statute[s]. The third bill would require employers to notify employees when they conduct electronic surveillance.
